Pumpkin Picking at Didier Farm

Let the fall fun begin!

We took Lucy to Didier Farm again this year, only this time we experienced one of our first true moments of learning to let go and stop holding our baby's hand.  She rode her first real "roller coaster"...All. By. Herself.  What was to us a roller coaster, was really a small automated choo choo train that went around and around in a circle on a track.  The "conductor" said adults couldn't ride or it would slow down the ride. This is the point where Jay and I looked at each other and said without words, is she ready for this?  Will she stay strapped in?  There are no doors on this train!  Are we bad parents for letting her try it?  And the final verdict...we'll never know if we don't try.  And thank God we did (and thank God she did not try to get out!).  Not only did she stay strapped in (happily!) but she was grinning from ear to ear the entire time.  She LOVED it!  So much so that we had to let her ride it twice during the short time that we were there.  She liked pushing the buttons and holding on to the steering wheel.  She is growing up.

Another carousel type ride where adults could ride.  This one did not seem to have the best seat belt, so Mommy rode along.

And here is her second time around...happy girl.

A  horse drawn ride.
