Sleeping Bag

Just a couple pictures off my phone of Lucy in her new sleeping bag.  She loves this gift!  It's now in her room on the floor inside a tent, and every night before bed she asks to be zipped in it.  I thought she might even try to take a nap in it one day!  A special thank you to Taryn and Luke for her special birthday gift.  It's a big hit.

Christmas Party/Gift Exchange

Our annual Secret Santa has sort of evolved into a Grab Bag Gift Exchange, as well as a chance for all of us to just get together.  The Grucel's hosted this year and we all got to see their beautiful new home.  It's gorgeous!  They have a fantastic playroom downstairs where Lucy and the kids spent most of their time.  

Concert Tickets

Part of Lucy's birthday gift is concert tickets to what seems to be her new favorite band:  The Fresh Beat Band (on Nick Jr.)  Every time they air a live performance of one of their songs on TV, Lucy starts jumping around the room, dancing, and asking me to dance with her.  She will even sing now!  It is so darn cute, so we broke down and got her tickets to the concert in March.  I think she's going to love it!

Fetch!

Lucy is getting so good at playing with Roxy.  She will throw the ball, but more often she will just tease our poor Rox by NOT throwing it.  She's also working on training her by saying "Sit Down!" quite often to her.  I love that she seems more interested in playing with her and petting her now.  I hope this continues.

Mommy Wednesdays: COOKIES!

Today I figured out Lucy LOVES sprinkles!

I showed her how to sprinkle on the sprinkles and she did a fantastic job! ...until she figured out she could eat them.  It was all downhill from there.  She stopped caring about decorating and started scrounging for sprinkles to eat.  It was really cute.

New Year, New Look

The first morning of the new year brought many laughs.  I'm hoping to capture more of Lucy's smiles on camera this year.  

A few other new things to add to the mix: 

I'm changing the name of this blog!  Our family is growing, and over Christmas we found out that our itty baby on the way is a GIRL!  So, I've appropriate changed the name of this blog to "My Little Ladies" and gave it a new look.  Daddy will be the only boy in our house...

even Roxy made sure of that :)

Lucy turns 2 this year!  And her sister's expected birth-day will be May 16th.  It's a big year for our family.

Daddy has been working on some home improvements and we've done some major organizing.  We turned the basement into a playroom for Lucy, reorganized closets and storage, and Daddy painted one of the last areas of our home: the back hallway.
