New Addition

And then there were two.

Lucy has the pleasure of announcing the arrival of her new baby brother or sister, due May 16th!  Our lives are all about to change.  BIG time.  My first thought was that Lucy is young enough to unfortunately (or fortunately) never remember these days when it was just her.  Just her and Mommy playing on the floor in her room.  Just her and Daddy cuddling on the couch watching Yo Gabba Gabba.  Just her and Roxy chasing a tennis ball around the house.  It makes me so anxious to think about how she'll welcome a new baby into her life.  But if she only knew how the fun is just beginning!  How much fun she'll have with a partner in crime.  How much fun she'll have now that there is someone to blame for her mess.  How much fun they'll have together sneaking downstairs Christmas Eve to peak at the presents.  How much fun she'll have teaching everything she's learned to someone that looks up to her with such admiration.  She will be a wonderful big sister.

As for Mommy and Daddy, I think we're both ecstatic and scared at the same time.  The sleepless nights around the corner, the tiny bird-like cries, the constant diaper changes, and the fear of how to do it all while showering Lucy with her much deserved attention is an overwhelming task.  But we're up for the challenge.  This baby is going to be so loved, and I think Baby is blessed with a pretty awesome family if I do say so myself.  We're going to have a lot of fun :)
