Didier Farm

It's becoming a yearly tradition...a visit to Didier Farm during the fall Halloween season. We met Brendan, Chase, and Kim for an afternoon of pony rides, donuts and pumpkins. Sophie sat all by herself among the pumpkins!

The Fresh Beat Band II

It wasn't Lucy's first concert, but it was her first time going out on the town to the Chicago Theater. We wanted a special night out for big sister, so Lolo and Lola were kind enough to babysit Sophie for the night and we took Lucy to dance and sing at the Fresh Beat Band concert. She clung to us in the beginning of course, but eventually warmed up and danced! She is so cute!

Papa's Visit

We got to have a little quality time with Papa during his travels to Kentucky to go see Grandpa. He had a "layover" in Chicago, so we got to have breakfast with him for two Saturdays in a row. One was spent going out for a local breakfast and stopping by a Farmer's Market on a whim. Papa bought both girls a pumpkin!

Debate

It's an election year. Both Lucy and Sophie were born during President Barack Obama's first term. We'll see who wins this race soon enough.

Pumpkin Carving Party

A pre-planned trip to a farm was squashed due to the rain! It rained almost all day today, so we moved the party indoors last minute thanks to Vince and Hazel's unbeatable hospitality. They set up tables for the kids to do crafts and carve/paint pumpkins and ordered pizza. It turned into a pretty nice party.

Uncle Randy!

Lucy did such a fantastic job painting her pumpkin! I was SO impressed!! She picked colors and started drawing lines up and down following the grooves...very controlled. I was surprised actually!

Uncle Neil and the whole family with Izzy's pumpkin.

Emilio loved playing with the light saber. It caught everyone's attention actually...even Sophie. She was laughing every time Uncle Greg swung it. This little video has Violet running in with her cute little voice...not sure how she bumped her chin though.
