Epcot

This year was THE year to take Lucy to the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique. We came prepared with her fanciest Cinderella dress and took her to Downtown Disney that morning for her Princess appointment. Even the chandelier in the salon had a glass slipper.

Lucy had a choice of hairstyles, and being the big girl she is now, she right away chose the extensions. They also painted her fingernails and did her make-up. Her "Fairy Godmother in Training" topped it off with a sparkle wand of hair glitter and a crown. Lucy got to keep the nail polish she chose, her make-up kit, a comb, and obviously her crown and hair piece. Overall she seemed almost overwhelmed with so much attention on her. I could tell she secretly loved it. She was trying to hide a smile at one point. And of course, the days that followed this visit, she kept asking to go back.

Since Lucy was all "Princess-ified" we went to Epcot for the day, and to our Princess lunch at the Akershus Royal Banquet Hall. And yes, Sophie wore a princess dress the whole day too. She actually seemed to like the Princesses a little bit more than Lucy did at that age, but she also seemed indifferent for some of it.

A cute shot of the girls in the Japan World Showcase area.

We found Totoro! Among many others :)

I love LOVE this picture of Sophie! You can see the big "golf ball" in the background.

We rode the Figment ride, but they had more fun at the exit where there is an entire hands-on play area.

The remainder of the day was sort of thrown off by a sick little Lucy. (My favorite moment from all of this misery was when Lucy said "Mommy. My mouth is on my shoes!" in reference to a little clean-up job I had to do after she got sick...she's still learning what it means to throw-up.) So we cut our trip short that day. Plus it rained almost nonstop, so we decided to give it another go the following day.
