A Sign of the Times

Lucy, so you don't forget:
At 2 years old, we got our first 3D television (a plasma, though the more popular technology is an LCD at the moment...but we like the richer color that the plasmas offer).  You loved to wear your bike helmet around the house for no particular reason.  A now favorite memory of mine: you dancing around in the basement with your bike helmet on while playing a toy guitar to Bobby McFerrin's "Don't Worry, Be Happy" (an oldie, but a goodie).  You were SO cute!  You love Bruno Mars and some Beatles songs, but are still a diehard Fresh Beat Band fan.  You love to wear other people's shoes.  You gallop around on a toy horse and can sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star all by yourself, as well as the ABC song and Happy Birthday.  You love birthday parties and blowing out candles.  We took you to your first movie, Disney's BRAVE, but had to leave halfway through...you just weren't ready :)

You are starting to get into playing pretend...on any given day, a paintbrush becomes a magic wand, a broom to sweep, or even a dragon to ride.  A nursing cover or blanket becomes a super hero cape.  An empty cup becomes a cup of coffee to drink...the possibilities are endless.

You love dragons and dinosaurs, princesses and animals, coloring and cooking, horses and cowboys, books and trains, bikes and slides, dress-up and swimming, and I THINK you are starting to like being a big sister.  You're the ham, the life of the party, and the light of my life.
