Epcot

Epcot was the first park of our vacation.  The first few days we had gorgeous weather!  Of course Lucy got soaked right out of the gate (there is no stopping that girl when it comes to water and fountains), so we changed her.  After wandering for some food and entertainment (the last day of the Food & Wine Festival was today) we ended up at our scheduled lunch with the Princesses.  This first encounter with characters didn't go so well, so I assumed that it would be that way all week.  I think the issue was that it wasn't obvious to Lucy that the women dressed up were supposed to be the characters from the movies.  She did warm up to Cinderella though, which was cute.  She couldn't stop looking at her.

Lucy with "creepy Ariel" (according to Daddy).  She was a little obnoxious...

We took Lucy on her first ride inside the giant "golf ball".  And she totally fell asleep!  (Don't worry Lucy, Mommy always thought that ride was boring too.)  So apparently she's not scared at least :)

We then found a character spot (you could see Minnie & Mickey through a window) and Lucy made it painfully obvious that she wanted to see them.  "Mouse!" she would shout, which we heard the entire week.  So we waited in a 20 minute line and got to meet all of the big ones:  Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Donald, & Goofy.  It was at this point that Lucy laid on the floor in a mini-tantrum because she wanted to go back to see Minnie.  Cute, in theory, but it was a little sad to me actually.  By the time Lucy would warm up to a character, it would be time to move on so the next little kid that was waiting in line could have their turn.  I felt bad for her.

We ended up at the park much later than expected, so we decided we may as well see a little of the fireworks show that happens every night.  It was pretty nice.  A really nice night.
