Lucy loved Disney World! Thank goodness. I wasn't sure how our first family vacation would go, having to travel with a toddler for the first time on a plane and bringing her to a huge public amusement park, but I could not be more thrilled with how it turned out. Lucy loved the rides and sat so still on our laps. She loved the play areas, and of course the fountains. But the biggest shock of the week turned out to be her love of the characters. I thought for sure she'd be scared, but she LOVED them! She wanted nothing more than to meet and touch and kiss and eventually hug them. As soon as she would see one, she would lean towards them with her arms outstretched trying to get us to bring her over to them. There was a bit of a warming up period of course, and very rarely did we get a smile out of her because she was so focused on the character, almost in awe, and didn't give a second thought to the camera, but overall we did what we could to make her happy (including waiting in an hour long line to see Buzz and Woody!)
