When she's older, I hope Lucy has many memories of eating corn on the cob or watermelon outside in her swimsuit on a hot summer day after running through the sprinkler. I think she had fun today.

Next year the goal is to get Lucy out at night to actually see some fireworks. (It was well past her bed time and she desperately needed sleep after a big day.) This year, I could see the Morton Grove fireworks without leaving the house! Here's a few pictures from my window...
