My Peanut

Good Grief!
One big difference between the two Lucy's:  She LOVES being kissed by our puppy :)

For the Love of Shoes

Pajama pants party while rockin their new Jordan's!

I suppose this is Daddy's version of the "American Girl" craze...dress like your daughter.  All joking aside, I think this is so stinkin' cute.  I LOVE that they have matching shoes, that Daddy picked her shoes out to match his, and that he was pretty excited to have her wear them.  I love how he loves her so.

Cooking With Daddy

Lucy's First Concert

Ralph's World!
Aunt Melissa has a pretty cool job!  She invited us to join a private concert held at her company, Comma Music, for their clients, family and friends.  They hosted Ralph's World to come play for the kiddies!  It was SO awesome!  Lucy got a front row seat more or less and got to listen to songs like "Puppy Dog", "Do the Potty Dance" and "The Coffee Song" (lyrics were something like...M-O-M-M-Y needs C-O-F-F-E-E).  She shared a rug with cousin Henry and Miles, she did dance a little but clung to Mommy for most of the show or spent time on Daddy's shoulders.  They had fruit and goldfish crackers (and little pb&j sandwiches with the crusts cut off that Lucy couldn't have unfortunately).
I think Lucy was just excited to be around all those kids!  And she loves music, so this was a perfect Saturday afternoon in the city.

January Playdate

I love Mommy Wednesdays!  Today Brendan and his Mommy Kim happened to be in the area so we scheduled a last minute playdate today!  It's 20 degrees out, so it was a perfect day to hang out indoors and play with Lucy's toys.  Brendan has the Little Zoomers car ramp at home, so he knew exactly what toy he wanted to play with. And both kids love books so we had storytime with Kim :)

I love how Lucy has her hand on his knee.  She kept holding on to Brendan all day!

Unfortunately I've misplaced my DSLR camera at the moment, so photos from my iPhone will have to do for now.  But I love seeing Lucy play with kids her own age.  She seems so social right now.  She has a tendency to try and use other babies as objects to pull herself up and stand, and she kept trying to grab Brendan's lips, but he was a good sport about it.  Afterwards she crashed and fell asleep so easily for her afternoon nap.  I think this playdate was just what she needed.

Christmas Bloopers!

Any Mom can attest to how difficult it is to get a toddler to sit still.  I loved our attempts.

And below is probably a more accurate portrayal of how Santa's lap REALLY went.

Ah, the infamous red hat.  I loved this hat and hope that we can still get some use out of it.  I desperately wanted to get a cute picture of her in it for the Christmas card I made.  Lucy had other plans.

Here she is, hat-free and happy.

Christmas at Home!

After all the hustle and bustle and the busyness that is Christmas, we finally settled at home and enjoyed our own little family Christmas.  Lucy played with all of her toys and tried to eat more wrapping paper.  We read "The Night Before Christmas" to her one last time, or rather Papa did.  She received the book earlier in the season with my Dad's voice pre-recorded so he's the narrator.  She LOVED this book!  Every night she would crawl over to it and open it so she could listen, and then she would sit and flip the pages.  We had to do it every night until finally we wised up and hid it until next year.

And Lucy modeled her new winter jacket that Auntie Jenny got her.  She looked so cute!
